Caroline is an occupational therapist, certified driver rehabilitation specialist and state certified driving instructor. She conducts driver evaluations and provides behind the wheel training to individuals with physical, cognitive, behavioral, and/or visual impairments. Caroline lives in Wilmington and serves clients in the eastern part of North Carolina. Caroline obtained her undergraduate degree at East Carolina University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation services and a minor in psychology. She then worked as a habilitation technician for 1 year before obtaining her Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from Winston Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC. Caroline’s early employment was as a school-based occupational therapist, where she was responsible for providing evaluative, consultative, and evidence-based interventions to individuals with diagnosis including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder. Just prior to joining the DRS team, she joined Cyndee as an OT for a national driver’s research study under the DOT and NHTSA, implementing visual scanning interventions to older adult participants. This led to her knowledge and interest in Driver Rehabilitation and shortly after the research project concluded, Caroline joined our team. She has been a member of our team since November 2019.
